InfoLab21

InfoLab21 is an international centre of excellence for research in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) built on the southern edge of Lancaster University's parkland campus on the outskirts of the beautiful and historic city of Lancaster.

Designed by FaulknerBrown Architects and built by HBG, the copper-clad building with its distinctive bronze windows won the national British Council for Offices best corporate work place prize and has been designated as "Excellent" in an Environmental Assessment from the Building Research Establishment Ltd.

An entire wing is dedicated to the Knowledge Business Centre (KBC), comprising the Department of Business Development and ICT Focus, InfoLab21's Training and Development Department.

InfoLab21 offers a flexible mixed portfolio of working scenarios giving access to Lancaster University's internationally prominent knowledge base, enabling businesses to work with technologists to develop new products and processes. The environment is driven by networking opportunities and technology awareness raising, together with prime access to ICT support. It encompasses graduate support through the new Graduate Academy, networking events for technology awareness and access to other Lancaster University facilities.
