Liverpool MerseyBIO leads the development of the Life Sciences Sector Programme in the Liverpool City Region. Our primary objective is to grow the scale and competitiveness of the life sciences sector and its networks which include entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, academics, researchers, clinicians, professional service providers and business support agencies.

The MerseyBIO incubator is a state-of the-art facility for developing biotechnology businesses. The incubation team provides an integrated technology commercialisation service, business support and access to the University's science base and technical assets.

In 2005, MerseyBIO won the prestigious Success North West Award for 'Exceptional Contribution to Business Development'. In the same year a MerseyBIO incubator company floated on the AIM Stock Market following two and a half years of business.
